William Scott CooperGray CourtWilliam Scott Cooper, age 79, of 396 Hope Road, and husband of Latha Collins Cooper, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017, at his home.Born in Gray Court, he was the son of the late Kenneth Bradley and Nellie Scott Cooper. Scott retired from JP Stevens Watts Plant with 40 years of service and operated Cooper Farm Carriage Service. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a partner of Bar None Cowboy Church, both in Gray Court.Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Randy Cooper and wife Debbie of Easley, Bobby Kellett and wife Tina of Gray Court, and Beth Chappelear and husband Larry of Gray Court; one sister, Vera Riddle of Laurens; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Scott was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Tumblin and Martha Goodwin. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Gray Court.
