Ruby Charles BaileyGray CourtRuby Charles Bailey, 87, of 73 Stover and Hurley Drive and widow of Herbert Bailey passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at NHC in Laurens.Born in Grundy, VA she was a daughter of the late Clell and Pricey Jane Charles. Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and member of Welcome Baptist Church.Surviving are: her children, Glenn Junior Bailey of Ora, Sharon Johnson (Dexter) of Laurens, Carolyn Manley (Thomas) of Laurens, Sheila Simmons (Charles) of Gray Court and Teresa Hurley (Ray) of Gray Court; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her children, Leonard "Sam" Bailey, Michael Bailey, Tammy Bailey Shaddix, Darrell Bailey and Ricky Bailey; and fifteen brothers and sisters.Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Don Peake with burial in Laurens City Cemetery.Visitation will be at the mortuary from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM prior to the service.The family will be at the home of her granddaughter Kim Mitchum, 108 Blakely Ave., Laurens.Memorials may be made to Caris Hospice, 446 E.
