Rachel Eudy

Rachel Kathryn Medlin Eudy, age 85, of the Greenpond Community, and wife of Billy Ray Eudy, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at her home surround by her family.

Born in Union County, NC, Rachel was a daughter of the late Amos and Willie Mael Deese Medlin.  She was previously employed by Oro Manufacturing, Douglas Aircraft, and was a legal secretary for the Robert Huffman Law Firm. She was a church pianist for several churches over the years, was a member of Macedonia Church in Monroe, NC and attended Shiloh Church in the Greenpond Community. Mrs. Eudy was also a past Worthy Matron with the Eastern Star and she enjoyed cooking for her children, grandchildren, and family gatherings.

In addition to her husband, she leaves behind her daughter, Kathy Coffman (Roy) of Gray Court; grandchildren, Megan McCain (Jeremy), Katelyn Ahlstom (Davis) and Keith Coffman; a great-grandchild, Maverick McCain; and a sister, Carolyn Mason (L.L.) of Yadkin, NC. 

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Shiloh Church conducted by Rev. Forest Mixon with visitation following the service. 

The burial service will be held at the Boone Family Cemetery in Monroe, NC on a later date.
