Melba Woody "Mel" Campbell, age 77, of 782 Fleming Mill Road, and widow of Jay "David" Campbell, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at her home.Born in Clinton, she was a daughter of the late William "Ovell" and Lucille Ivester Woody. Mel was previously employed with Palmetto Bone and Joint and was a member of Laurens Church of God. She was called by the Lord to teach Sunday School, Children's Church, and Girl's Club for 22 years.Surviving are her daughters, Pam Terry and husband Ted of Cross Hill, and Janet Byers and husband Chris of Blacksburg; sisters, Brenda Smith and husband David of Clinton, and Lurline Threatt of Clinton; two granddaughters, two grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and one great-grandson.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 17, 2019, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev.
