Margaret Catherine Cogsdill BrownLaurensMargaret Catherine Cogsdill Brown, 98, of the Watts Mill Community and wife of the late J D Brown passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018.Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Fred Eldridge and Alberta Hughes Cogsdill. Mrs. Brown was a faithful member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church where she was active with ADY, Vacation Bible School, the Bereavement Committee, and many mission projects.Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Brown Eades and husband H. Dean Eades, Sr., of Seneca; grandchildren, Lisa Eades Jenkins and husband Eric of Easley, Deirdré Eades "Dede" Eller and husband David of Pickens, and Rev. Harold D. "Buddy" Eades, Jr., and wife Victoria of Atlanta; great grandchildren, Jesse Eller, Benjamin "Ben" Eller, Zoë Bayer, and Ainslie Bayer; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Lois Graydon, Mozelle Coates, Andrella Mims and Louise Knight; and brothers, Ford Cogsdill, Toy Cogsdill, Euitt Cogsdill and Vincent Cogsdill.Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Friday, March 9, 2018, at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Post and Rev. Bob Cato. A private family committal will be conducted in Forest Lawn Cemetery.The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church immediately following the memorial service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse or to St. Jude's Children Hospital.Condolences can be expressed to the family at www.thekennedymortuary.com.
