David Wayne "Mac" McAlister, Sr.Cross HillDavid Wayne "Mac" McAlister, Sr., age 68, of 644 Billy Leopard Rd. and husband of the late Peggy Jean Armstrong McAlister, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Self Regional Hospital.Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Woodrow McAlister, Sr. and Grace Loftis Calvert. Mac was a US Army Veteran and was retired from Teknor Apex. He was of the Christian faith. He is survived by his sons, David Wayne McAlister, Jr. and Sharon Bolt of Laurens, Tony Keith McAlister of Cross Hill, and Brian Kevin McAlister and wife Tammy McAlister of Cross Hill; sister Judy Matthews of Gray Court, grandchildren, Larry McAlister, Justin McAlister, Josh McAlister, and Alauna McAlister; and great-grandchildren, Danny Ray, Kevin, Riley, Kaydence, Jacob, and Dalton.In addition to his wife and parents, Mac was predeceased by a brother, Woodrow McAlister, Jr.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 27, 2018, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. J.D. Putman, Jr. with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery with military honors.The family will be at 1161 Old Airport Rd. in Laurens and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 am.Memorials may be made to The Laurens County Humane Society, P.O.
