Mabel Elizabeth Howard FerrellLaurensMabel Elizabeth Howard Ferrell, age 89, of 327 Hillbrook Road, and widow of Rev. Norman Reid Ferrell, Sr, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at National Healthcare Center of Laurens.Born in Hartwell, GA, she was a daughter of the late L.N. and Clara Mae Paige Howard. Mabel was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Gray Court and worked alongside Rev. Ferrell throughout their ministry for 45 years.Surviving are three children, Nathan Ferrell of Lawrenceville, GA, Susan Ferrell of Laurens, and Reid Ferrell of Laurens; one granddaughter, Jennifer Coleman and husband Travis, serving as missionaries in Romania with their children, Cameron, Mackenzie, and Kaci.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Friendship Baptist Church in Gray Court, conducted by Rev. Chuck Pace and Rev. Ernest Ferrell. Burial will follow in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Kinards.The family will be at the residence. Visitation will be held at Friendship Baptist Church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Ferrell to Finish It Ministries, 327 Hillbrook Road, Laurens, SC 29360 or www.finish-it-ministries.org.Condolences may be expressed online at www.thekennedymortuary.com.
