Luther Jesse "L.J." CravenClintonLuther Jesse "L.J." Craven, 85, of 1807 Milam Rd. and husband of Jessie Barbary Craven, passed away Monday, January 1, 2018, at NHC in Laurens.Born in Chappells, he was a son of the late Rev. Martin Luther and Myrtle Lee Craven. He was self-employed in the pulpwood industry and also sold fresh produce. In addition to his wife, Mr. Craven is survived by: his children, Danny Craven and wife Lonna of Waterloo, Johnny Craven of Clinton, Betty Craven of Clinton, Stanley Craven of Clinton, and Nancy Crowder and husband Thomas of Laurens; sisters Christine Proctor of Cross Hill, Betty Lassiter of Greenwood, and Hazel Henderson of Tampa, FL; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Inez Crowder, Naomi Proctor, Edward Craven, Dean Craven, and Fletcher Craven, and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Craven.Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 4, 2018, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev.
