Larry Crenshaw

Larry Earl Crenshaw, 83, of 870 Indian Mound Rd. and husband of Sybil Flynn Crenshaw, passed away at his home, Tuesday, February 28, 2017.Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Charles Henry and Myrtle Fuller Crenshaw. Mr. Crenshaw retired from the U. S. Navy, having served in Korea and Vietnam. A farmer, he was also the owner of Crenshaw's Store. A member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, he was a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the VFW. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a daughter, Nancy Crenshaw Thomas and husband Allen of Laurens; a brother, Fred Crenshaw of Laurens; a sister Betty Jean Ireland and husband Clyde of Columbia; grandchildren, Heather Crenshaw and Charles and Catherine Thomas; his faithful caregivers, Roger and Dianne Laurence of Cross Hill; and his dog, Dixie.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by: his sons, Charles Thomas Crenshaw and Dennis Earl Crenshaw; and a brother, Bob Crenshaw.Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Phil Hall.The family will be at the home and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary, Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.Memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P.O.
