Lanny Ree ShealyLaurensLanny Ree Shealy, age 67, of Laurens, and husband of Lois Annette Gibby Shealy, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Laurens, Lanny was the son of the late Starling King and Helen Garrett Shealy. He was formerly in the USMC Reserves and was a welder. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Melody Finley and husband Scott of Hickory Tavern, Jonathan Kyle Shealy and wife Sarah of Laurens, and Christopher Levi Shealy of Laurens; one brother, Melvin Shealy and wife Bobbie "Lulu" of Heiskell, TN; and two grandchildren, Julia Jones and Annalyse Finley.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel.The family will be at the home of his daughter, Melody.
