Katherine Spearman BrownleeLaurensKatherine Spearman Brownlee, age 93, formerly of Pine Road, and widow of Marion R. Brownlee, Sr, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late Clyde E. and Letha Bolt Spearman. Katherine was formerly employed by Belk of Laurens and was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Gold Star Wives.Surviving are one son, Rick Brownlee and wife Melissa of Simpsonville; two sisters, Marcelle S. Kuykendall and Sybil S. Jeffords both of Laurens; four grandchildren, Gregory Brownlee and wife Beth, Staci Brownlee, Austin James, and Meagan James; and two great-grandchildren, Isabella Brownlee and Garrett Brownlee.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Faye Brownlee and her brother, Jack Spearman.Graveside services will be 2:00pm, Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Forest Lawn Cemetery.The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the cemetery after the service.Condolences may be expressed at www.thekennedymortuary.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Katherine Spearman Brownlee please visit our Sympathy Store.
