Johnny Eugene McCoyLaurensJohnny Eugene "Hack" McCoy, 58, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center.Born in Belton, he was a son of the late Bobby and Juanita Browning McCoy. Mr. McCoy was a retired U.S. Air Force MSGT having served in Korea. A master electrician, he was known as a "Wire Dog." He was passionate about riding motorcycles, mechanical work, fishing, westerns, soap operas, and dancing. He loved spending time at the lake with his family and friends.He is survived by: his children, Joshua S. McCoy of Canton, GA, Rebbecca L. Bishop and husband Jason of Sharpsburg, GA, and Ashley Campbell and husband Codie of Mobile, AL; a sister, Teresa S. McCoy of Waterloo; grandchildren, Hannah E. Bishop of Sharpsburg, GA, J. Brian Bishop, Jr. of Sharpsburg, GA, Carson E. Campbell of Mobile, AL, and 2 grandchildren soon to be born; numerous aunts and uncles and a special uncle and caregiver, Mike Browning and wife Paula of Laurens; nieces and nephew, Mandy Benton of CA, Kayla Edwards of Laurens, and Tyson Bay of Laurens.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Kathrine E. Snipes and brothers, Robert Franklin McCoy, and Robert S. McCoy.A celebration of life with Full Military Honors will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, July 24, 2017, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Lisa Bishop. A private burial will be held at Daventon Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelzer.The family will be at the home of his sister, Teresa McCoy, 216 S. Ruth Walker Rd., Waterloo, SC 29384, and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary one hour prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The National Pancreas Foundation, 3 Bethesda Metro Center, Suite 700, Bethesda, MD; or to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
