Jessie Burns CooleyGray CourtJessie Burns Cooley, 88, of 1308 Cooley Road and wife of the late Pellam Blakely Cooley passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, at Presbyterian Community of SC in Clinton.Born in Laurens, SC she was the daughter of Willis A. Burns and Lula Ballard Burns Taylor. Mrs. Cooley retired from Torrington and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.Surviving are her son, Walter Allen Cooley and wife Becky of Gray Court; son-in-law, Henry Ayotte of Gray Court; grandchildren, Christopher "Chris" Ayotte, Jennifer Thomason, Shelley Cooley Gama and Jodie Cooley Hamilton and husband Leonard; four great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews of several generations of the Burns and Cooley families.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Cooley Ayotte.Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Eastside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. J.D. Putman, Jr. and Rev. Joe Baldwin.
