Jennifer Michelle Newsome, age 37, of Laurens, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Donald Alexander and Darlene Williams Newsome. She was the former assistant manager at the Napa Auto Parts in Simpsonville. Jennifer lived a life filled with love and devotion to her family and friends.  She had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. One of her greatest joys in life was being a mother to her two daughters.  In addition to her dedication to her family, Jennifer also extended her care and support to fellow cancer survivors. Having battled this disease herself, Jennifer understood the hardships that came with it. She selflessly reached out to other survivors, offering comfort, encouragement, and solace during their own journeys. Her empathy and willingness to give the shirt off her back exemplified what it meant to be truly compassionate.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Abigail and Payton Eubanks; sister, Beth Newsome Godwin (Michael) of Laurens; niece, Alee Godwin; nephew, John Parker Godwin; maternal grandmother, Paula Williams (Mike Browning) of Laurens; paternal grandmother, Betty Newsome of Newton, NC; and fiancé, Jackie Anthony of Laurens.

She was predeceased by a maternal grandfather, Gray Williams, and a paternal grandfather, Jim Newsome.

The family will receive friends at Bellview Baptist Church from 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, followed by a funeral service in the sanctuary at 2:00 pm conducted by Rev. Darren Rood.  Interment will follow at Westview Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home of her parents.
