Barbara Jane Hudson JacksLaurensBarbara Jane Hudson Jacks, age 63, of 1210 Chestnut St. Extension, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018, at her home.Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of Jimmy McBride "Buddy" Hudson of Laurens and the late Emmie Sue Nabors Hudson. Retired from LCPW with 16 years of service, she was a member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church, where she previously served as church organist for over 30 years.In addition to her father, she is survived by: her sister, Lynda Workman and her fiancé Steve Martinek; grandchildren, Taylor and Riley Jacks; and nieces, Brady Cox and Kayli Workman.In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her son, Kyle McBride Jacks.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 16, 2018, at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.The family will be at the home of her father, 1501 Pinehaven St. Extension, and will receive friends at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church one hour prior to the service.Memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association, c/o GHS ISC 3rd Floor, 701 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605; or to The Laurens County Humane Society, PO Box 1600, Clinton, SC 29325.Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.thekennedymortuary.com.
