Hugh Edwards

Hugh Marshall Edwards, 83, of 107 Blakely Ave. and husband of Jo Ann Harrill Edwards for 60 years, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the Hospice House of Laurens County.Born in Gray Court, he was a son of the late Horace Bobo and Alma Riddle Edwards. A veteran of the SC National Guard, he was retired from Laurens Glass after 43 years of service. Hugh was a member of Bellview Baptist Church where he was a choir member and a former deacon. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his sons, Keith Edwards and wife Terri of Laurens and Dennis Edwards and wife Marcia of Charleston; a brother, Richard Edwards of Laurens; grandchildren, Justin Edwards (Becca Bagwell) of Laurens, Jeremy Edwards (Beth) of Moore, Zach Edwards of Charleston, and Cassidy Edwards of Charleston; step grandchildren, Jonathan Ferland (Jen) of Buffalo, NY, and Sarah Freundschuh (Tim) of Buffalo, NY; great grandchild, Maddox Edwards; step great grandchildren, Hunter, David, Austin, Peyton, Zegan, Izahya, Izabella, and Haylee; a sister-in-law, Toni Edwards of Gray Court; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by: a brother, Ronnie Lee Edwards; a sister, Margie Nell Hughes; and a daughter-in-law, Casey Leigh Edwards.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Bellview Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Adam Powers with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery.The family will be at the home and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 11, 2018.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellview Baptist Church, 795 Bellview Church Rd.
