Garry Lynn Wilson

Garry Lynn Wilson, age 69, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, with Warriors Walk Hospice at Dorn VA's Community Living Center in Columbia, SC.Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his father, Johnny William Wilson, Sr and his mother, Evelyn Marie Braswell Wilson. A Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army, Garry was a member of Gospel Tabernacle and was co-owner of Wilson's Curb Market.Surviving are his brother, Ted Wilson, Sr. and wife Brenda of Laurens; nieces and nephews, Ted Wilson, Jr. of Laurens, Kenneth Wilson and wife Mary of Laurens, Juana Wilson Brown and husband James of Laurens, Billy Wilson of Laurens, Kim Wilson Shelton and husband Scott of Laurens, and Deanie Wilson of Laurens; sister-in-law, Paula Wilson of Laurens; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Johnny W. Wilson, Jr.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Leon Bible with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Military Honors.The family will be at the home of Ted Wilson, 371 Easy Road, Laurens and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.Memorials may be made to Gospel Tabernacle, 743 E.
