Dear Steve and Family,
I had no idea of Ellen's passing and was so shocked and saddened to hear this news. Ellen was a bright light in this very dark world. I have such wonderful memories of growing up with her and going to the grange fair every year. She was a sweet soul and kind to the core. She will be missed so very much. I know our Lord welcomed her with open arms saying "well done, good and faithful servant" ... with Love, Leslie Worthy (McManus)

Ellen,
I have no words to say about the shock and surprise both Dee and I shared, when we learned of your passing. To all of her friends and family, we share in your grief, but we also hope your memories of Ellen and the comfort faith brings, will sustain you through the times ahead. I did write a poem about Ellen, and was asked to share it here.

Ellen Udot

Sweet sister with the starry gaze
A distant memory of time gone by
When we talked
You reminded me of ancient times
Of youth and home
Of faces fading but memories shared
Not one word of malice or strife
Not a whisper of dismay or regret

I looked for your words each day
Never thinking there would be
Today, a silent day,
a page empty
Of all the things that I will miss
I will miss you
Your compassion
Your caring
Your kindness
Your smile from yesterday
Your smile today.

Dear Udot Family and Friends,

We, her hundreds of Facebook friends from Groton Way Back are so saddened that we lost Ellen. While many of us never met her in person, she brightened our lives on a daily basis with her posts. She was a true Ray of Sunshine and we were honored and blessed to have her presence with us. She touched our lives in a positive way and we are grateful. She will be missed. Our hearts go out to you with our sincere condolences.

I was sad to hear the sudden loss of Ellen. She was a friend and fun to talk to. We shared our love for cats and the color purple, and she had a beautiful voice during praises at church. She had a beautiful soul and I will see her again on the Crystal Sea.
