Edna “Diane” Stewart of Laurens entered into her eternal rest on February 9, 2022, at the Hospice House of Laurens County in Clinton.
Diane was born in Laurens to the late Edna Crowe Powers and Albert Hughes on January 15, 1949. She was a homemaker and avid bingo player for many years, as this was her favorite hobby.
Diane is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 31 years, Eddie Stewart of Laurens; four children, Tammy Butler, Kenny Butler, Teresa Butler and Albert Davenport all of Laurens; three step children, Robin Stewart, Charles Stewart (Angie) and Debbie Campbell (Ronnie); eight grandchildren, Candice Williamson, Christie Campbell (Jack), Scottie Butler (Ashlee), Tyler Tucker (Lacy), “Lil Kenny” Butler, Brandi Butler, Kenley Butler and Lily Davenport all of Laurens; five step grandchildren, Rhonica Campbell, Crystal Campbell, Candace Campbell, Carrie Stewart and Shelby Stewart; sixteen great grandchildren, Chad Bible, Jr., Taelor Bible, Jordan Bible, Jaleigh Bible, Melissa Campbell, Megan Campbell, Cayson Campbell, Tanner Butler, Mahryaa Butler, Karter Butler, Jayden Dornberg, Jacob Dornberg, Jace Dornberg, Jylon Dornberg, Kaylee Wilson and Kenox Holmes; and two great-grandchildren, Kysen Powers and Crystal Weisner; niece, Stacy Plaia (Lucky); and a nephew, Wayne Butler, Jr. (Andrea).
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Brenda “Gail” Butler, and granddaughter, Heather Simmons.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. David Cathcart. Due to COVID-19, the family asks that you observe social distancing.
The family will be at the home.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.
