Dorothy Whisenant Jones, 92, of 356 Conway Avenue and wife of the late Walter Terrell "Bill" Jones passed away Friday, January 5, 2018, at NHC in Laurens.Born in Boydton, Virginia she was a daughter of the late William Junius and Annie Harrison Whisenant. Mrs. Jones retired from J.P. Stevens Watts Mill and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was a member of the Adah Chapter # 6, Order of the Eastern Star.A loving mother and grandmother she is survived by a daughter, Shirley Jones Wasson of Laurens; grandchildren, Chad Drayton Gregory and wife Jennifer of Laurens, Brian Lee Gregory and wife Amy of Laurens, Sherry Jones McManus and husband Zvi T. of Greenwood and Terri Jones Allen and husband Travis R. of Greenwood; great grandchildren, Summer Paige Gregory, Sloan Drayton Gregory, Brianna Leigh Gregory, Laura Ashleigh Gregory, Kinsleigh Faith Gregory, Tyler Jones McManus, Rylee Annell McManus, William Nicholas Allen, Matthew Wells Allen and Zachary Hodges Allen; daughter-in-law, Sandra Henderson Jones of Gray Court; and a niece, Mary Donnan Butler of Columbia.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Walter Thomas "Tommy" Jones and William Eugene "Gene" Jones; and a daughter-in-law, Delores "Bo" Weathers Jones.Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. J.D.
