Curtis William “Willie” Bridges

 

Waterloo, SC

 

Curtis William “Willie” Bridges, age 72, of Waterloo, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022, at PRISMA Laurens County Hospital.

 

He was born in Laurens and was a son of the late Robert Lee Bridges and Ruby Case Saxon.

 

Willie loved to fish, loved animals, and loved his family.

 

He is survived by his sisters, Vickie Alvis of Whitmire and Pat Chitwood (Gary) of Newberry; his brother, Ronnie Bridges of Whitmire; his nephews, David Chitwood (Mary) of Waterloo, Jamie Chitwood of Whitmire, Joey Owings of Woodruff, and Rodney Bridges of Woodruff; his nieces, Kelly Chitwood of Joanna, Lisa Owings of Gray Court, Pamela Owings of Whitmire, Trisha Hughes of Newberry, Cindy Lingerfelt of Rock Hill, Stacy Barrios of Woodruff and Missy Petrea of Charlotte; numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Doug Bridges and Ed Bridges, his niece, Betty Jo Owings and his nephew, Charles Bridges.

 

Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Westview Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Ben Rumph.

 

The family will receive friends following the service at 2:00 PM at the home of his nephew, David Chitwood, 180 Kayla Drive, Waterloo, SC 29384.
