Carolyn Carlton CraigLaurensCarolyn Carlton Craig, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Mount Pleasant, SC.Born in Laurens on April 9, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Homer P. Carlton and Carrie Mauldin Carlton. Carolyn was a graduate of Ford High School and Greenville General Hospital of Nursing. She worked as a lab technician for 51 years before retiring in 2010. Carolyn was a member of Laurens First Baptist Church, Bobby Smith Sunday School Class and of the Red Hat Society.Surviving are: her husband, James W. "Buddy" Craig, Jr.; son, David Craig and wife Lynn of Waterloo; daughters, Wesley Craig Kennedy and husband Jeffrey of Mount Pleasant, and Amy Craig of Laurens; sister, Rita Carlton McIntyre and husband Keith of Fountain Inn; grandchildren, Gracen Kennedy, Matthew Craig and Chloe Smith; and faithful companion, Peanut.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Steven Carlton and Charles Carlton.Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 1, 2018, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Rickey Letson. A private burial will be held in Laurens City Cemetery.The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary one hour prior to the service on Saturday.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.Condolences can be expressed to the family at www.thekennedymortuary.com.
