William Luther WassonLaurens, SCWilliam Luther "Bill" Wasson, 79, of Laurens, SC was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was the husband of his beloved late wife, Nancy Price Wasson and the son of the late Julia Fuller Wasson and Luther Joseph Wasson.The owner of BW Express, Inc., Mr. Wasson was a longtime and faithful member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, Laurens, SC where he served as Deacon and member of the Joy Sunday School Class. He was also a veteran of the SC National Guard.Surviving are his son, William Dale Wasson of Atlanta, GA and Laurens; a daughter, Holly Shaye Wasson of Laurens; a brother, Barney Wasson and his late wife Gail of Laurens, a sister, Geraldine Wasson Webb and husband Mackie of Laurens, a brother, James Wasson and wife Marsha of Laurens; sisters-in-law, Linda Price Templeton and husband Bob of Laurens, Jean Price Roper and husband Jimmy of Greenville; and many loving nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church, 499 Chestnut Ridge Road, Laurens, SC conducted by Rev. Alex D. Henderson and Rev. Stanley Fuller with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
