Betty Pinson

Betty Jean Price Pinson, 81, formerly of Ekom Beach Road and widow of William Young Pinson, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, at Carolina Gardens Senior Living.Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late James Earl and Ommie Seay Price. Mrs. Pinson was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she was church secretary for many years.Surviving are her daughters, Libby Pinson, Anne Thompson and Susan Thompson all of Laurens; siblings, Don Price, Inez Lambert and Mac Price; grandchildren, Michael Finley, Jason Thompson, Heath Thompson, Beth Crisp, Heather Berryhill, and Heidi Patterson; and eleven great grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandmother, Mary Seay, and an aunt, Lora Seay, both of whom raised her; a sister, Thetis Edwards; and an infant twin sister.Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Phil Hall.The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.Memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, 4996 Hwy. 221 South, Laurens, SC 29360.The family will be at their respective homes.
