Betty Jean Berryhill HesterLaurensBetty Jean Berryhill Hester, 84, of 144 Spring Rd. and wife of Charles Wyatt Hester, Sr., passed away at her home Wednesday, July 19, 2017.Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Grayson and Ella Gossett Berryhill. Mrs. Hester was formerly employed with Liberty Life Insurance Co., was a member of First Baptist Church, and attended Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church.In addition to her husband of 65 years, she is survived by: a daughter, Pamela Hester Gibbs and husband William Herschel "Bill" Gibbs, Jr. of Laurens; grandchildren, William Jason Gibbs and wife Christa, Jeremy Todd Gibbs and wife Michelle, and Lauren Hester Cartee and husband Travis; great grandchildren, Abigail Bailey Gibbs, Mason Todd Gibbs, William Jason Gibbs, Jr., and Ryan Elizabeth Gibbs; and a daughter-in-law, Melinda Balch Hester.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by: a son, Charles W. "Chuck" Hester, Jr. and brothers, Ernest Berryhill, Palmer Berryhill, and J.C. Berryhill.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2017, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Alex D.
