Ana Pimentel

Ana Eleodora Bravo de Pimentel, age 98, resident of Laurens, SC, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at NHC HealthCare, surrounded in love, listening to her beloved Julio Iglesias. Ana, known by those who loved her as "Yoya", was born in Lima, Peru on October 11, 1920 to the late Jose Bravo and Eleodora Angulo. On January 16, 1949, Ana married the love of her life, Jose Pimentel, who preceded her in death in June of 1992. She is survived by her three children, daughter Ani Pimentel of Piedmont, SC, son Jose Pimentel of Peru and daughter Dora (William Martin) G. Pimentel of Des Moines, IA; granddaughter Chana (Jeremy) Roschyk of Granger, IN; and three great-grandchildren, Anaya, Creed and Kale.In life, Ana was an incredibly talented seamstress by trade and gifted artist. She was also a devout, lifelong Catholic who volunteered countless hours working with food kitchens and fostering children in need. A sweet and salty soul, Ana enjoyed singing and playfully teasing her loved ones to her final days. She leaves wonderful, eternal memories of laughter and joy."Yoya, thank you for being the best damn great-grandma, grandma, mother, spouse, and friend anyone could ever have.
