Christopher Lee Bowers, 44, of 220 Palomino Road, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at his home.
Born in Clinton, he was the son of Emily Matthews McCarson and husband, Tommy of Laurens and J. P. Bowers, Sr. He was a former employee of SCDOT and was a member of the Brothers of the Confederate.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are wife, Tammy Wyatt of Joanna; a stepdaughter, Kellie Woodard of Joanna; two step sons, Alex Woodard of Laurens and Jaylin Wyatt of Joanna; one brother, Perry Bowers and wife Roseanne of Easley; one sister, Regina Smith and husband Charles of Navarre, FL; four aunts, Nancy Chambers and husband Bill of Laurens, Ann McCarson, Carolyn Duckworth and Vickie Gibbs all of Clemson; one uncle, Tommy Matthews of Laurens; and one step grandchild, Brayden Thompson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 30, 2010, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. James K. Hamilton and his brother, Perry Bowers with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary Thursday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
