He was a US Navy veteran having served during Vietnam, retired from Roadway Express and was a driver for Senior Options of Laurens, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Greenwood and the VFW, and was a mason. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Frederick Perry of Waterloo; a daughter in law, Stephanie Carey-Perry of Waterloo; two brothers, Charles A. Perry of Phoenix, AZ and Paul Perry of Lincoln, NE; two sisters, Susan Hegwald of Lincoln, NE and Jean Scott of Beaver Crossing, NE; and one grandchild, Alexander Perry. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Westview Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Nathan Gragg. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
