Nora Lee Griffin Allison, 85, of 12414 Highway 76 West, was called home by Christ on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the National Healthcare Center of Laurens.
Born in Waynesville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Tullie Eugene and Pearl Gregory Griffin. She was a member of Henderson Baptist Church in Hickory Tavern and retired from Riegel Textiles after 42 years of service.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Wilton Earl Allison and she also leaves behind her son Thomas Earl Allison and his wife June P. Allison: sisters; Barbara Templeton, Texanna Craig and her husband Joe, Pearl Humbert, and Peggy Satterwhite and her husband James; her brother; Joe Griffin and his wife Grace; grandchildren: Ashleigh Allison, Jason Allison and his wife Liz Allison; and great-grandchildren: Christian Allison, Corey Allison and one on the way.
The family will be receiving friends at The Kennedy Mortuary, 606 W. Main St, Laurens on Friday March 5, 2010, from 6 pm to 8 pm.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Henderson Baptist Church, 207 Henderson Church Road, Hickory Tavern at 3 pm conducted by Rev. James K. Hamilton and Rev. Jason Fletcher with burial in the church cemetery.
